G Inn Boutique Hotel is a four-storey extension to a Class 2 heritage building on Macalister Road, Penang.

Design Challenges and Solutions

  1. Heritage Preservation: We preserved the heritage building's front curved façade in the design of a modern, glass-enclosed staircase.

  2. Harmonious Design: An adjacent bedroom block with a pitched roof and projecting eaves complements the existing structure, creating a unique architectural composition.
